As 2024 comes to a close, Samm’s Heating & Air Conditioning reflects on the incredible opportunities we’ve had to make a difference in our community this year. Giving back and supporting our neighbors is woven into who we are, and this year we’ve been privileged to participate in meaningful initiatives that bring us closer to the people we serve.
This November, we were honored to support the Plano Flags of Honor around Veterans Day, a breathtaking tribute to the brave men and women who have served our country. Seeing the flags and feeling the gratitude in the air was a powerful reminder of the sacrifices our veterans and their families make.
Earlier in the year, during Memorial Day weekend, we proudly joined the Carry The Load Dallas Memorial March to support organizations like the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Metrocare. This incredible clinic provides life-changing mental health services to veterans and their families, ensuring they receive the care and support they deserve. Being part of this effort reinforced our commitment to honoring and assisting those who’ve served.
One of the highlights of 2024 was our annual Nominate a Neighbor Giveaway. This program allows us to provide a free HVAC system to a family in need, ensuring they stay safe and comfortable in the ever-changing Texas weather. Knowing we could make a difference in someone’s home and life is truly one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.
In October, we had a blast participating in the Community Trunk or Treat event at the Plano Athletic Club. Connecting with families, handing out treats, and soaking in the Halloween spirit brought so much joy to our team and the community alike.
As the holiday season wraps up, we’re also thrilled to donate bicycles to children through Spokes for Kids with Shearer Supply. It’s a wonderful feeling to contribute to creating special holiday memories for children and their families.
Another effort that warmed our hearts was partnering with Minnie’s Food Pantry in November, where our team helped provide 300 meals to families in need. Volunteering alongside an organization that makes such a direct impact was a truly meaningful experience for us.
Looking ahead to 2025, we’re excited to announce the launch of Samm’s Cares, our official charitable arm. This initiative will allow us to deepen our community involvement by supporting local nonprofits, hosting quarterly events, and expanding programs like Nominate a Neighbor. We’re eager to make an even greater impact while encouraging others to join us in building a stronger, more connected community.
